Quick Podcast does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. It simply opens a search on the service you choose.
What information we access
Quick Podcast does not access your browsing history, page content, or any personal data. The extension only uses:
- Your category selection — which preset category you tap (e.g. Comedy, News, True Crime).
- Your service selection — whether you’d like results from Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or YouTube.
How it works
When you pick a category and a service, Quick Podcast opens a new browser tab with a pre-filled search on that service’s own website (open.spotify.com, podcasts.apple.com, or youtube.com). We do not search on your behalf, retrieve results ourselves, or have access to what you do on those sites. Once the tab opens, you are interacting directly with that service under its own terms and privacy policy.
What we store
Quick Podcast uses Chrome’s sync storage to save the following directly tied to your Chrome account:
- Your last selected service (Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or YouTube)
- Your dark mode preference
This is stored only so the extension remembers your preference next time you open it. We do not have our own servers and never receive or see this data ourselves.
Third-party services
Quick Podcast directs you to Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or YouTube based on your selection. We do not control these services’ data practices once you’re on their site — please review their own privacy policies for how they handle your activity.
Quick Podcast itself does not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking services of any kind.
Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share any user data with third parties, because we never receive or store any of it beyond the two local preferences listed above.
Children’s privacy
Quick Podcast does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, since no personal information is ever collected or transmitted to us.
Changes to this policy
If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
