🔒 The Short Version
Quick Tag does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data whatsoever. All searches go directly from your browser to Google Admin or Dell Support. We see nothing. We store nothing.
01 — What QuickTag Does
Quick Tag is a Chrome browser extension that allows IT and education staff to quickly search for devices in Google Admin’s Chrome Device Management and Dell Support using serial numbers, asset tags, or Service Tags.
Searches are performed by opening a new browser tab pointed directly at the relevant third-party website (Google Admin or Dell Support). Quick Tag acts only as a launcher — it does not intercept, read, or store any data from those websites.
02 — Data We Collect
We collect no data. QuickTag does not:
- ❌ Collect or log search terms you type
- ❌ Track which devices or serial numbers you look up
- ❌ Collect names, emails, or any personal information
- ❌ Use cookies or analytics
- ❌ Transmit any data to Monache.com or any third party
- ❌ Store any data locally on your device beyond what Chrome requires to run the extension
03 — Permissions Used
Quick Tag requests the following Chrome permissions. Here is exactly why each one is needed:
| Permission | Why It’s Needed |
|---|---|
tabs |
To open Google Admin or Dell Support search results in an active tab when you click Search. |
contextMenus |
To add right-click menu options so you can highlight a serial number or tag on any webpage and search immediately. |
04 — Third-Party Websites
When you perform a search, QuickTag opens Google Admin or Dell Support in your browser. Those websites are governed by their own privacy policies:
- Google Admin — policies.google.com/privacy
- Dell Support — dell.com privacy statement
Monache.com is not affiliated with Google or Dell.
05 — Remote Code
Quick Tag does not load or execute any remote code. All extension code is fully bundled and included in the installed package. No external scripts are fetched at runtime.
06 — Children’s Privacy
Quick Tag is designed for use by IT professionals and school technology staff — not students. The extension does not collect any data from any user, including minors.
07 — Changes to This Policy
If this privacy policy changes in the future, the updated version will be posted at this URL and the “Last updated” date above will reflect the change. Significant changes will also be noted in the Chrome Web Store update notes.
