Quick Notes does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your notes or personal information. Everything stays in your own Chrome account storage.
What information we access
Quick Notes only accesses the content you type directly into the extension’s notepad. We do not access your browsing history, the content of webpages you visit, or any other browser data.
What we store
Quick Notes uses Chrome’s built-in sync storage to save the following, tied to your own Google/Chrome account:
- The text content of each of your notes (up to 5)
- The titles you give your notes
- Your dark mode preference
- Which note tab was last active
This data is stored using Chrome’s chrome.storage.sync API, which means it syncs across your own Chrome browsers when you’re signed into the same Google account — the same way your bookmarks or browser settings sync. We do not have our own servers, and we never see, receive, or have access to this data.
Third-party services
Quick Notes does not call any external APIs, servers, or third-party services. All functionality — including the markdown preview — runs entirely within your browser using code bundled in the extension. No note content is ever sent over the network.
Quick Notes does not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking services of any kind.
Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share any user data with third parties, because we never receive or store any of it ourselves. Your notes belong entirely to you, stored only through Google’s own Chrome sync infrastructure.
Children’s privacy
Quick Notes does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, since no information is ever collected or transmitted to us.
